This weekend friends and family of the late Michelle Richards will walk 100km from London to Brighton to continue her legacy by raising vital funds for leukaemia research.

Michelle sadly lost her battle with chronic myeloid leukaemia in July 2014. Her dad, Mick Pester, is amongst the 17-strong team who will be setting off from London tomorrow:

“Michelle completed this challenge with her husband Chris and the Leuka Skywalker team while in remission from leukaemia in May 2013. For her to complete this challenge was totally awe inspiring, so the pressure is on for us to continue her legacy and raise money for her charity, Leuka, to help fund research to find a cure for this horrible disease.

Michelle spent many months in the Catherine Lewis Centre at Hammersmith Hospital preparing and undergoing a bone marrow transplant and with your help we would like to give something back to the charity that helped and supported Michelle through her illness.”
