Leading research and clinical staff

£100,000 is needed to fund one of Leuka’s prestigious two year John Goldman Fellowships to support one of the brightest and best clinician scientists working on cutting edge research.
£100,000 is needed to fund a 3-year Clinical Research Training Fellowship funded jointly by Leuka & the Medical Research Council

Ground breaking clinical trials for patients

£1,000,000 over 3 years is needed to fund Leuka’s contribution to the “IMPACT Project” – the UK’s first network for clinical research in stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.

The following amounts illustrate how much it costs to fund members of the team.

£50,000 per year to fund an expert statistician
£40,000 per year is needed to fund a Research Nurse
£30,000 is needed to fund a Clinical Trial Administrator

Latest technology

Apart from people, Leuka’s funds may be used to ensure that scientists and clinicians have access to the latest cutting edge technology to deliver to best possible patient care. In 2015, £100,000 was spent on specialist equipment called Raindance Technology for the Department of Medicine at Imperial College London for research into patients with blood cancer.
