I am delighted to be able to share some of our recent successes with you, our supporters, in this latest annual review. Over the past year we have continued to fund yet more innovative research into leukaemia and related disorders – helping to bring pioneering, effective therapies to patients as quickly and safely as possible.
Supporting researchers, clinicians and patients is at the heart of what we do. To that end, we have improved our expert scientific advisory processes to make sure our funds are invested in the most fruitful areas of investigation and treatment. We have begun to work more closely too, with our grant holders to ensure that all their projects are on track to deliver the most impact.
Chris Corbin OBE has enjoyed a successful first year as Chairman of Leuka’s Board of Trustees. Chris is himself a leukaemia survivor and has been a Leuka trustee for many years. We are very grateful to all our trustees and scientific advisors, who give their skills and expertise voluntarily.
Without your unstinting generosity our work would not be possible. Together our efforts are making a huge difference to the lives of patients here in the UK and abroad.
Once again, thank you for your support.
